Tulsa Ballet:

Horas de Hamra

CHOREOGRAPHER

Hamra, meaning “red” in Arabic, evokes fire, endurance, and dusk. The title weaves together Spanish and Arabic, reflecting a small mixture of influences in both the work and the music of Le Trio Joubran.

Guided by the voice of the oud, an instrument that carries history within its resonance, the journey culminates in what remains: intimacy stripped of spectacle, bodies carrying memory, and the fragile act of holding each other.

The piece is an ensemble stage work for 11 Dancers
