JaffeE Hall Award

Well it’s certainly been a little bit since I’ve been able to check in here. Blogging isn’t really my thing but I do love to share. It has been a fruitful time, but I’ve also learned so much through the creations I’ve been making. Flow, infrastructure… honestly that might be one of the deepest things I’ve learned. Being in the studio is certainly a major part of the job, but it’s all of the time that it requires outside of the studio that can sometimes feel a little maddening just to find enough hours to edit videos, share updates and keep things up to date on my work. And then, you also have to find time to stay inspired creatively. Fueling and nourishing my creative spirit so I can take risks and challenge myself. Iterate, wreck, build.

I was awarded the Jaffee Hall Choreogrpaher Award with Dance Kaleidoscope and I am super honored. They are an organization I have adored from a far and it’s so exciting that I will get to work with them soon. I will be making Vacila and deep diving in Bogaloo music which is a passion of mine. More soon, but wanted to share this update while I had a (brief) moment to rise up and say hello.
